Mushroom house - wip1

Something I'm working on! This is the first time I paint a night-time scene (as far as I remember). There's much work ahead, I've just started it. I hope I'll finish it!

Will never finish 2

An unfinished self protrait. Used just a mirror to draw it, and I wasn't liked how the coloring was turning out (surprise!), so I decided to scrap it. But since it doesn't look like total crap, I decided to put it here.

Currently I'm trying to confince my dad to lend me some money to buy an Xbox 360. Dunno if he'll agree! I want to buy it just to play Soul Calibur 4 and Banjo-Kazooie. I hope the console has more games I like.

Piggy bank

My piggy bank! I wanted to paint from real life, this piggy was right there looking at me, so I decided to paint it. Up to 160 reais (aprox. 89 usd) fit in this little bank :3

I also discovered that turning both "shape dynamics" and "other dynamics" on give a very nice painterly effect. I might use it again.

Will never finish 1

The first one of a collection that will soon grow. That was me giving a try at realistic painting. And, as always, it turned out horrible.

I really hate it when a painting doesn't turn out as I envisioned it. Even worse is when it also turns out bad. I guess it's just a matter of practice, but it sure gets frustrating sometimes.

Gonna go test some random brushes on Painter now.

See ya~

Zelda acrylics - wip1

This...thing was my firt try at traditional painting with acrylics. It's so different from digital painting (I guess it's because I'm just starting at it) and harder. But I will finish it and the next ones will be much better... I hope!
Haha, it looks like one of my first colorings when I started experimenting with Photoshop years ago. The horror!

The actual painting looks better; my camera killed the colors.

At least it will help me understand how to use Painter - because currently all I can do with it is a colorful mess.

Rupee

A Rupee from The Legend of Zelda series. They're so shiny and translucent, I've always wanted to paint one! I wish I had a bad full of colorful Rupees...
When I think of Rupees, the first color that comes to my mind is green, so here it is. But the other colors are very pretty too, so I thought why not do one of each color. You can check (almost) all colors here http://i46.tinypic.com/zjt63k.png

It's still boiling hot here and if I go out of my room with air conditioner I think I'll melt. I want to live in Europe, where it's COLD.

Finished my most detailed lineart ever

After three days of work, I've finished this lineart. This is Talim from Soul Calibur 4. I wanted to practice anatomy, and for some reason decided to draw her wearing her most detailed outfit. Ever. If I tried doing this some months ago I'd never finish it because I simply hate inking digitally - it's so tedious and time consuming. But I love the results so it's all right!

Last weekend I went visit my aunt and grandma (they live on a city 3 hours from Rio de Janeiro). I always come back home a bit emo because I've lived in that city for 10 years, so yeah.

And it's been hot like hell here. Very hot. That's why I love my air conditioner.

Until next time!
